FAAM Cobham Hall

Located within easy reach of the main Fleet Air Arm Museum (FAAM) Cobham Hall is a purpose built building housing the FAAM's reserve collection.

Costing 3 Million pounds to build and funded with the help of the Heritage Lottery Fund, Cobham Hall is a climate controlled building which is ideal for both the storage and restoration of Naval aviation records, artifacts and aircraft.

Inside the main hall there is accomodation for around 30 airframes and 5 miles of shelving for the artifacts, whilst the records are housed in a seperate room.

Hosted by FAAM's curator David Morris and his team, Cobham Hall is open to the general public several times a year with dates and times published in the Events page of the FAAM's website.

As this is the home of the reserve collection, airframes are sometimes "swapped" with exhibits in the main FAAM, so the exact airframes on display may vary from visit to visit. The photos and identifcation list within this article reflect several visits to Cobham Hall and so may be different from the current inventory.
